Louise Rankine (Dick/Anderson) played for Scotland in 1938 aged just 17. When matches resumed after the war, Louise was one of the more experienced players.

She captained Scotland between 1949 and 1958. By 1952 it was recorded that she had gained twenty four caps. Records show she played in a further twenty one internationals, achieving forty five caps in total. She acted as ‘Press Secretary’ for the SLLA as well as secretary.

Louise was a member of the 1954 GB team which toured the USA and was Chairman of the SLLA Selectors in the 1960s.

Louise was President of the SLLA and later, in 1974, Honorary President of the SLLA.
