Officiating

Lacrosse Scotland games are officiated using World Lacrosse rules with few exceptions; these will be reflected on the relevant umpiring / refereeing page.

Whether or not you want to be an umpire or referee, it is important that all players and coaches know the basic rules of lacrosse to keep the game safe and to improve their own game.

All officials must make sure that they are aware of the Lacrosse Scotland Officials’ Code of Conduct and ensure that they behave within the spirit of the code.
