Home Internationals 2025: A Weekend of Fierce Competition and Scottish Pride

The Home Internationals 2025 wrapped up this weekend after a fantastic few days of competitive lacrosse, team spirit, and national pride. While England secured a clean sweep across all Home Nations trophies, Scotland had many reasons to celebrate.

Standout Performances

Although the final results were not in Scotland’s favour, several of our players delivered standout performances and were recognised for their individual excellence.

Scotland Women’s Player of the Tournament
Congratulations to Zoe Dickson, who was named Scotland Women’s Player of the Tournament. Zoe demonstrated exceptional quality and composure throughout the weekend, leading by example in every match.

Scotland’s Most Improved Player
Emily Ballard was awarded Scotland’s Most Improved Player, following a year of impressive development. Her progress, work ethic, and impact on the pitch were clear to see, and her future in the sport looks incredibly promising.

Overall Women’s Player of the Tournament
We also extend our congratulations to Georgie Southorn of England, who was named Women’s Player of the Tournament across all competing nations. Her outstanding performance played a key role in England’s success.

Looking Ahead

From our Senior Men’s and Women’s squads to our Junior Women’s rising stars, every Scottish player demonstrated incredible heart, determination, and pride throughout the tournament. While the competition was fierce, the weekend also highlighted the unity and strength within our national programme.

We extend our thanks to all players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who made Home Internationals 2025 such a memorable event. The journey for Scottish Lacrosse continues—and with it, our commitment to growth, development, and excellence at every level.

A Milestone Achievement: Suzie Oliphant Earns Her 100th Cap

This weekend marked a significant milestone for Suzie Oliphant, who was awarded her 100th international cap during Saturday’s match against England.

Suzie made her international debut for Scotland in 2008 and has been a cornerstone of the national programme ever since. Her dedication to the sport over the past 17 years has been exemplary, both in terms of on-field performance and her leadership within the squad.

Balancing elite-level sport with family life, Suzie has managed to maintain a consistently high standard while raising three children—an extraordinary achievement that reflects her commitment, resilience, and passion for the game.

Suzie is widely respected as both a teammate and a leader, and her contribution to Scottish Lacrosse has left a lasting impact on players, coaches, and the wider community. Reaching 100 caps is a rare and remarkable accomplishment, and we are proud to celebrate this moment with her.
