JOB OVERVIEW
Lacrosse Scotland is looking for a Performance Director to lead and develop a professional, high-performing team to drive Lacrosse at both U20 and senior levels, covering Box, Sixes and Field.
The recent announcement on Lacrosse’s inclusion in the Olympics 2028 presents a unique opportunity for this role.
- Term: Two years with option of seeking re-election for further two years
- Payment: This is a volunteer position and is unpaid
- Commitment: Monthly board meetings, quarterly workshop days, attendance at AGMs and regular meetings with committees, attending national team training weekends and international fixtures in Scotland.
- Expenses: Expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Lacrosse Scotland Expense policy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To create, coordinate and implement a structured and effective performance programme, talent pathway and coach development across both Women’s and Men’s performance teams (Field, Box and Sixes) in accordance with Lacrosse Scotland’s Strategic Plan.
- To identify opportunities to improve the domestic competition framework and build foundations for successful elite performance teams.
- Co-ordinate and manage key partnerships, including Team GB and Home Nations, to effectively deliver National Team activity.
- To embed Scotland Lacrosse values and culture into the performance programme.
- Hold overall responsibility of appropriate allocation of funds for Lacrosse Scotland Performance programmes.
- Provide relevant reports and information when required.
- Comply with all Lacrosse Scotland policies and procedures along with legal, ethical and social guidelines.
