Lacrosse Scotland Board Appointments

Caroline Lepetit – Communications Director

Carrie Hughes – Board Vice Chair

Caroline Lepetit joined the board in July 2021 as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with responsibility for communication of Lacrosse Scotland’s digital channels. She is currently the Head of Customer Strategy at the LTA, the National Governing Body for tennis in Britain, responsible for developing the product and digital strategy for fans and players, for both tennis and padel.

A keen lacrosse player at school and university, Caroline joined the board to help Lacrosse Scotland encourage more people to take up the sport, and to play a part of the sport’s exciting next chapter, in light of the International Olympic Committee’s recent full recognition status for lacrosse.

Carrie Hughes initially joined the Lacrosse Scotland governance structure in February 2021 as the Communications Working Group Lead, before being co-opted to the board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with responsibility for this area of work in May 2021. She then transferred to an Executive Director role in June 2021, handing the Comms to Caroline, to take up the Vice Chair position, where she will work with a particular focus on Governance and Compliance. During the day she is a Civil Servant, a tax inspector working in the Process Design Team designing some of the government’s flagship tax compliance projects.

Having taken up the sport at university, Carrie has played for a number of teams in the Lacrosse Scotland league depending on her geography over the years, and has previously worked with the Lacrosse Scotland board as a liaison between clubs and the NGB, but is now looking forward to focussing more on administration than playing. She joined the board as a way to help strengthen and shape the sport in the Scotland as we move towards an exciting future.

**These appointments were made by Lacrosse Scotland Board and are therefore classed as co-opted positions. Appointments by the Lacrosse Scotland members will happen at the next AGM as normal per the Articles of Association.**
