New Board Appointments

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

Georgie Greenwood – Chair

We are delighted to announce that Georgie Greenwood has joined the Board of Lacrosse Scotland as Chair, following Mason Robbins exit. Georgie brings with her a wealth of experience, having previously served on the Board, and is really passionate about growing the game, specifically increasing participation amongst youth age groups. As well as being a qualified coach and umpire, Georgie is a member of the Women’s Senior squad, and is understandably keen to support performance teams to retain and improve their ranking, and ensuring the board is delivering for the membership across all areas.
Georgie currently works as a Programme Manager at BAE Systems, responsible for time, cost and performance of a multinational contract focussing on the development and implementation of strategy & transformation.

Rosie Hazell – Development Director

We are also delighted that Rosie Hazell joined the board in October 2021 as Development Director. As a PE teacher in Edinburgh at St George’s School she is very involved with developing the grassroots level of lacrosse from a schools’ perspective. Growing up in Scotland and playing lacrosse throughout school and university, she has a good understanding of the background and importance of lacrosse in Scotland and continues to play to the highest standard as a member of the Senior Women’s squad.
**These appointments were made by Lacrosse Scotland Board and are therefore classed as co-opted positions. Appointments by the Lacrosse Scotland members will happen at the next AGM as normal per the Articles of Association.**
