The Scotland U19 lacrosse team had their first outing since being selected to represent the country at the U19 World Championships in August, 2011 in Hannover, Germany. The team is still in it’s infancy of development so will not dwell on the scores of the Home Internationals. The squad is going on tour to Maryland, USA in two weeks time to train and play matches against a range of club teams in the State. The tour will finish on April 14th when the U19s will travel back to the UK to play in the Senior Home Internationals as the B team. The whole experience will be pivotal in preparation for the World Championships.

Representing the Scottish Schools in the A Tournament were Lydia Nicol (ex-Glenalmond) and Jenny Stevens (ex-St. George’s). In the B tournament there were more: Susie Aitken, Katie Barnet, Tara Kinahan, Josephine Peile and Connie Thurlow (Fettes), Jenny Anderton, Jemima Murray-Poore, Michaela Macphie (Glenalmond) and Rachel Smart of Aberdeen.
