Lacrosse Scotland are seeking a League Manager for the Women’s National League. The overall purpose of this role is to coordinate the running of the league to ensure all fixtures are played whilst maintaining high standards of management to sustain and increase participation numbers.
Lacrosse Scotland has seen a steady increase in the numbers playing the sport, with current membership at its highest point. However, the board feel this is just the beginning with a concerted focus of increasing participation. A solid and highly participated league structure is key to this to ensure numbers continually increase.
The role will involve developing the league structure that meets the needs of the Lacrosse Scotland Membership. Working closely with lacrosse clubs throughout Scotland and the Women’s Director you will determine their participation needs annually. Finally, coordinating and scheduling of league weekends will also be undertaken by the League Manager.
You will be line managed by the Women’s Director who is on the Lacrosse Scotland board. You will also work closely with Lacrosse Scotland’s National Development Officer to increase league entries and to develop a league structure that is meeting the demands of the membership.
Lacrosse Scotland’s participation levels currently show that 2/3 of Lacrosse Scotland members are female. As a result, you will ensure the vast majority of participating members have a league that is enjoyable, well-structured and has more teams entering.
