Elaine and Steve Richardson
Parents to the rescue …
For anyone involved in the men’s side of Lacrosse in Scotland it would be safe to say that you might have come across this dynamic duo; Elaine and Steve Richardson, parents of three lacrosse playing sons.
Elaine and Steve have been involved with Lacrosse Scotland for the past two years. Their eldest son Josh was part of the U-19 team in Vancouver last summer.
Men’s interim Director David Grinter stated:
Elaine and Steve volunteered as they were happy to get involved and could see that we needed help and support. Elaine and Steve made the trip out to Canada to see Josh and the squad play, they even played an active role by chauffeuring the boys around to and from and between games and training. They attended every session to support Josh, and now Cameron, and decided to start selling apparel to raise money for the Men's Lacrosse programme, which has been fantastic!. They're youngest, Murray, is always around too and is looking to follow in his brother's footsteps.
Additionally Steve is also doing a load of work with Lorna Powell, the Team Manager, and they've put together a fundraising committee for 2018 and beyond. Steve secured the programme a kit sponsor last summer too. They have been absolutely brilliant for the men's side of the game, down to them bringing coffee for the staff on the cold, wet Glasgow afternoons at Craigholme.
They're an asset and an absolute treasure to have!
